Payment & Refund Policy
This policy applies to CAR T-cell therapy at SinoUnited Health. It sets out when payment is due, and what happens to your deposit if cell collection does not go ahead.
When payment is due
Payment is made in two installments, timed to the two stages of treatment rather than taken in full at the start.
- Deposit Received in full before cell collection.
- Remaining balance Settled before admission for cell infusion.
Cell collection and infusion take place on two separate trips, so the balance is not due until the second one. Figures are set out on the costs page.
If cell collection does not proceed, your deposit is fully refundable — less the cost of any tests already completed (for example, a CT scan).
What that means in practice
Why it is the deposit that is refunded. Before cell collection, the deposit is the only money you have paid. The balance is not due until admission for infusion, which comes later — so at that point the deposit is the whole amount at stake.
Why completed tests are deducted. The deduction covers assessment work already carried out for you, such as a scan that has been performed. It is the cost of work done, not a cancellation fee.
